Rune Temte
Rune Temte grew up in Solbergelva outside Oslo, and together with his older brother Truls, they were raised by their parents Svanhild and Ingar. Rune is married to Thea Glimsdal and together they have one son. Martinius.
After graduating with a business degree from The London School of Foreign Trade, he changed gears and entered into the world of professional soccer, playing five seasons for the Norwegian football club, Strømsgodset. In 1988, a leading newspaper awarded him Player of the Year. Still connected to his former career, Temte remains an honorable member of Leeds United Supporters Trust. Despite a successful track record in sports, Temte decided to pursue his dream of becoming an actor.

He began honing his craft at the revered Drama Studio London, in 1994. Shortly afterwards, Temte began his career on the stage in such notable Scandinavian theater productions as Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Puck, and Oberon. A household name in his native Norway, Rune Temte set once again his mark internationally with his role as Bron-Char in the 2019 highly anticipated superhero movie, Captain Marvel, in which he stars opposite Brie Larson and Jude Law. Rune is also known for his work in the successful drama series The Last Kingdom on Netflix were he plays Ubba, a fierce performance that earned him recognition worldwide.


His film and TV work includes working with directors like:  Dexter Fletcher, Gil Kenan, Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck, Thomas Daneskov, Sarah Pia Anderson, Nick Murphy, Richard Holm, Hettie Macdonald, Måns Herngren, Kieron Hawkes, Metin Hüseyin, Anthony Byrne and Harald Zwart.
